Tom Tom nothing but problems and their customer DISservice is even worse..
I have the same problem as Anderson 6 and everyone else who updates the software. My TomTom worked fine when I first got. Then I connected to their website and downloaded the update! Huge mistake! Since then the screen jumps all around. It sends you to the nearest police station. It is distracting and dangerous. I have called customer service several times. They admit they have a problem. Evidently their progammers are too stupid to resolve the problem so they say that I don't have a warranty on it. Everyone on their blogs complains about it. Customer service said they won't fix it or give me a new one. BUT, they will give me a discount on a new. To that I said "Do you really think I would be stupid enough to buy another TomTom?" I hope they go out of business because that simply don't care. They refuse to stand behind their product.

Cons: Screen jumps all around. It scrolls through all the features. Then it routes you to the nearest police station. They know it but they won't fix it. Your are stuck with it.

They caused the problema, now they could care less.
My tomtom was working good until i thought i needed to update it and charge battery, contacted tomtomhome and they help me remove my current map and then they would install a current map. Sorry sorry, then they could not load the new map on my unit. Not i have nothing on my unit and no one cares at home home . Would not offer to repair or replace it. Very unhappy cuswtomer, does any on have a email address for co headquarters.>

TomTom is a disgraceful product.
The maps are only right half the time. They cant get street numbering correct. Such a basic requirement. House numbers always start from the house closest to the city center. Not so with TomTom. Very difficult to read the screen during day light. Night time it is better but day time the reflection make it hard to read the screen. Touch screen i must push in with my finger nail before it will function. Mine TomTom is one of the more expensive versions XXL . Very disappointing.

tom tom is the worst buy there is.
got it a a chistmas present . got it brand new less then 2 months old screen just went blank charger not working tried to contact tom tom they want $ 30.00 just to to give advice ??????

Cons: bad software , defective products no warranty will never buy any tom tom products ever again or recommend

great tool.
on my third tom tom and i think they are great tools , im a trucker so it is a tool as far as i'm concerned . will not buy another tom tom though if it has that completely useless mounting that clips onto the back , i really dont know what was wrong with the old one probably changed for the sake of change but tom tom R+D should have tested it out and realised with a wider sat nav if its to the side of you you cant angle it much because the ball joint lets the side of the sat nav hit the screen after a little bit of adjustment not a prob with smaller tom tom .

no repair for tom tom.
TOM TOM STOPPED WORKING AFTER SIX MONTHS WAS TOLD BY THEM THEY DONT REPAIR THEIR OWN PRODUCTS SO DONT BUY A TOM TOM I JUST TRASHED MINE AND BOUGHT ANOTHER BRAND

Overated.
Works well out of the box, but soon after the software updates creep in the gremlins come out.
Map updates stop working, backup icon grays out and functions no longer. Phone connection and hands free functions misteriously stop working. The list goes on and with TomTom customer service being there in name only, the user is left to google the problem and hope some-one has got some advise to offer which is usefull. For a device, costing as much as it does, the customer support TomTom fails to excell in will probably drive any repeat customers to the competition.
